Kathy joins Pedal&Scoot

I’m really pleased to announce that Kathy Bashford is going to manage Pedal&Scoot whilst I’m working in Edinburgh. Kathy has much experience of delivering cycling activities to children & adults. She used to work for Sustrans as a Bike It officer and has good relationships with many schools in the Lancaster & Morecambe area. I used to work with Kathy and she taught me everything I know about teaching children to cycle :0) You’ll be in good hands! In the meantime, I will remain a silent partner for Pedal&Scoot. Annie x

The big wide world

"The great majority of us first learn to ride as a child, the bicycle a type of 'transitional object', taking us away to really explore the bigger world for the first time out of the sight of our parents, our first real taste of independence and freedom. It's the symbolic moment when horizons broaden, possibilities open up; you are moving under your own power, controlling where you want to go."
